Getting your Visa
To travel to Mozambique, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your entry date and have two blank pages. Depending on your nationality, you may be visa-exempt, eligible for an eVisa, or able to obtain a visa on arrival. Standard visa types include tourism, business, family visit, study, and work, with tourist and business visas usually allowing stays of up to 30 days (extensions may be possible). Required documents generally include a passport copy, recent photo, hotel booking or invitation letter, proof of return travel, and proof of sufficient funds. Visa fees vary by type, and even visa-exempt travelers may need to pay a processing fee (around 650 Meticais / USD 10) on arrival. Entry must be through an international airport or official border post with immigration facilities. For longer stays such as work or residence, you must apply for the appropriate permit in advance.
